Miranda James es un escritor estadounidense. Si, escritor. Es el seudónimo que utiliza el autor Dean James para firmar algunas de sus series de misterio. Nació en Mississippi en 1957. Allí estudió y obtuvo un doctorado en 1986.
Ha trabajado como bibliotecario en Texas, una vez jubilado ha vuelto a Mississippi.
Comenzó a publicar sus novelas hace más de veinte años con diferentes seudónimos según las series, algunas muy populares.
