Bernard James Farmer fue un escritor británico. Nació en 1903 y falleció en 1964.
Escribió novelas de misterio, también cuentos infantiles, así como obras obras sobre el coleccionismo de libros. En alguna llegó a combinar todos sus intereses.
Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, empezó a trabajar en la policía lo que le sirvió de inspiración y ayuda para sus narraciones.
